About this job

Quality inspection of all products and material operation processes on the manufacturing floor including inspection of labels, lot numbers, product appearance and weight checks per SOP guidelines

Willing to consider a variety of background and willing to train in most areas. Experience in a lab environment is preferred along with some chemistry experience but others may be considered.


* This facility has metal systems running all of the time that generate metal filings which are removed from the products with magnets - every 4 hours production collects the magnet filings and puts them in plastic bag.

The Quality Technician is responsible for visually inspecting those bags to catch anything that looks unusual like nuts or bolts . If anything unusual is found, the Quality Technician works with the Production Supervisor to stop or revert production or. reject product


* Scalping screens are used to remove nuts and bolts, the operator will look at the filter every 4 hours, if something unusual is found, the Quality Technician would initiate an investigation to find where the breakdown is in the plant processes.

Check in raw materials from the trucks upon delivery - check weights, ensure correct lot code that matches, and process orders
Quality control testing of all incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished products in the lab
Prepare chemical reagents

Perform basic wet chemistry tests including: titrations, pH testing, specific testing associated with salt analysis, mixing of chemicals, chloride titrations, total suspended solids, collecting water samples and performing water sample analysis
Analyze special water softener pellets through dilutions and titrations

Some USP testing for pharmaceutical grade products
Calibration of laboratory equipment
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and housekeeping
Responsible for all quality documentation of lab notebooks and computer entry - enter data into the SAP system
Assist Quality Manager with the generation, review, and revision of SOPs

Assist with internal auditing of the facility
Provide testing assistance for in plant troubleshooting related to foreign material events or salt issues
