Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Beauty Advisor – Estee Lauder will be assigned to the line with training from the cosmetics and fragrance vendor.  The Beauty Advisor will ensure Estee Lauder achieves retail sales target while following Brand’s strategy and applying Brand guidelines.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Service

·    To provide every customer with the best possible service/experience.

·    To be professional at all times and offer help and advice to all customers by utilizing the Brand’s 

      Signature Services.

§  Demonstrate daily the communication and service techniques acquired in Apprentice to Master Training, providing an "Ultimate Luxury Customer Experience”.

 

Selling

·         Create a strategy and plan to reach daily goal.

·     Work outside the counter whenever possible to recruit customers and increase penetration.

·      Identify customer needs by using open-ended questions.

·         Effectively use selling tools (Skin profiling pads, makeup consultations, Signature Services, etc.) and offer exceptional advice and share expert knowledge.

·     Ensure all customers are introduced to new/latest products and the special Travel Retailing sets.

To take initiatives such as conducting counter activities to facilitate conversion and drive retail.

 

Product Knowledge

·         Attend educational seminars for the Estee Lauder brand 2-3 times per year.  Travel to another city/state/country will be involved.

·     Understand all products and be able to communicate usage and benefits to all customers.

·     Demonstrate all products on the back of the customer’s hand or if appropriate on the customer’s face 

       using the key Signature Demonstrations.

·     Ensure we offer Signature Services when demonstrating any of our products.

 

Stock Control

·    Highlight all stock problems to Area Sales Manager and Account Coordinators as they occur.

·    Ensure testers displayed to reflect the products in stock.

·   Identify low stock situations, protecting your key sellers in all categories, by communicating to  

      Managers/ CM’s/ PSM, by the 15th of every month where applicable.

·    Ensure the high standards portrayed by the Company are reflected at all times, both

      personally and on counter; lead by example.

·    Portray the Brand’s image by correct use of current or featured skincare, makeup and

     Fragrance.  

·   Current uniforms must be worn at all times in line with uniform guidelines including tool belt & tools.

·   Counters must reflect at all times the current merchandising guidelines.

·    Ensure counters, merchandise, and testers are kept clean, tidy and presentable at all times.

·   Must be VIP ready at all times.

 

Working Relationships

· Establish and maintain a good working relationship with Terminal/Store Management and other Beauty Advisors.

 

Qualifications

Experience:          Previous cosmetics sales preferred.

Education:           High School Diploma

Equipment:         POS Terminal, Customer Service training required.

Must be able to work well with other personnel at various levels and be team-oriented.

•Establish and maintain good working relationships with Estee Lauder and Store  Management.

•Generate and show enthusiasm.

•Work as part of a team.

•Constantly upgrade selling techniques by utilizing Signature Services and sharing ideas on how to obtain sales objectives.

 

Excellent verbal skills needed.  Bilingual skills required.

Able to work overtime hours when necessary

Must be able to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality record
