Laundry Supervisor:

As a Laundry Supervisor who enjoys assisting others at Westgate Vacation Villas & Town Center, you will maintain and ensure the cleanliness and daily operations of the Laundry Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and motivates all Laundry team members to ensure guest satisfaction and all standards and procedures are being met.
  • Assists with the hiring, staffing, and training of all new team members for the Laundry Department.
  • Assists with appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving any linen issues.
  • Assigns and directs work to ensure all cleanliness standards are met and exceeded following all established procedures.
  • Sorts and counts articles to verify quantities for the inventory of all laundry.
  • Maintains all chemical inventories.
  • Prepares a weekly schedule for Laundry team members to ensure adequate staff.
  • Assigns striping and picks up of laundry from rooms and throughout the property.
  • Partners with Housekeeping Department to communicate the correct inventory of linen and supplies for checkouts.
  • Completes all daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork and documentation as necessary.
  • Assists team members with laundry tasks and other duties when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory and customer service experience is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to handle guest challenges effectively, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Strong ability to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and work in wet, humid, and outdoor weather conditions.
