Job Description

This is a light industrial manufacturing facility not a warehouse. Must have experience in a fast paced production environment.

Your Opportunity: Lead the motivation and coaching of a team of hourly production associates; administer and maintain company policies, guidelines and production documentation that support daily operations.

Coordinate labor resources at the beginning of the shift so that all machines and/or job responsibilities have adequate teams of associates to produce mail in a cost effective manner that supports mailing schedules. Review shift production performance with Shift Manager and recommend improvements in production performance including the reduction of shortages. Ensure compliance of USPS make-up, mailing and drop-ship procedures. Coordinate and execute training and cross-training programs for associates on proper work and ergonomics techniques to meet Company efficiency standards in a safe manner. Communicate job performance standards to associates. Provide timely and consistent feedback, coach and motivate associates to exceed expectations. Develop performance improvement plans as appropriate and administer corrective action as needed. Analyze Production and Shortage reports to meet company and Postal documentation policies. Provide associates with adequate material support such as tools and postal equipment to support daily operations. Interview, recommend and/or make hiring decisions for hourly positions. Develop annual evaluations for each associate with the objective of reviewing past performance and establish goals and expectations for the coming year. Ensure a safe working environment for all associates by heightening safety awareness through training and feedback on safe working techniques and housekeeping practices. Respond to work related injuries/accidents by investigating accidents, determining need for medical care, completing appropriate paperwork and timely reporting to insurance carrier. Provide fair and consistent administration of company policies to ensure positive associate relations. Promote open communication and listening so that associate self-esteem is enhanced and positive associate relations are maintained. Responsible for reconciliation of hours for payroll and tracking of attendance. Employees are responsible for supporting and complying with internal and external audits, to include providing information, performing assigned tasks to ensure compliance, and preparing and maintaining evidence that key duties identified as internal controls have been performed.
