Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The lead sales associate position is responsible for leading a team in customer services, generating sales, store appearance, merchandising, signing, cash register operations (POS), opening and closing store as needed and loss prevention in adherence to all company policy/store standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service. Provides outstanding customers service to all who enter the store.
  • Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements.
  • Open and close store as assigned
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers.
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock; ensure re-wraps are done promptly.
  • Assists in leading team through sales, merchandising and store operation.
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping. Maintains cashiering desk/areas in a clean, organized fashion.
  • Assists with answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
  • Communicate guest requests to management.
  • Trains new employees, allocates and monitors work of others as directed by Store Manager.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education: High School diploma/GED preferred
  • Experience: 1-3 years of retail/customer service preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $10.00 to $11.00 /hour
