JOB DESCRIPTION

This individual must possess the necessary skills to complete any task that the Stock Room Supervisor sets forth. The following is a list of the qualifications:

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Receive and count stock items and record data.

2. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockroom or warehouses.

3. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, supply rooms, or other areas.

4. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

5. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

6. Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.

7. Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

8. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

9. Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors.

10. Drive fork truck in order to pick up incoming stock or to deliver parts to designated locations.

11. Prepare and maintain records of reports of inventories and shortages.

12. Involves lifting, bending, reaching, and stooping.

13. Handling and Moving Objects - Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things.

14. Performing General Physical Activities - Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, legs and your entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

15. Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.

16. Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships -- Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.

17. Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates -- Providing information to supervisors or co-workers in written form or in person.

 

SKILLS

1. Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.

2. Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

3. Inductive Reasoning - The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.

4. Computer literacy

5. Bilingual a plus

EXPERIENCE

• 3 – 5 years

COMPENSATION

• $12 - $15 / hr
