Job Description

Job Title: Retail Operations Assistant

Department: Retail Field

Reports to:  Retail Director

 

Summary:

The Retail Operations Assistant will support the function of multiple retail locations, delivery services, and Ecommerce sales in 2018.  The Retail Operations Assistant will work in support of the Retail Management Team to ensure a high level of success and optimal functionality among the Serra and Electric Lettuce stores and commerce platforms.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

·         Coordinate facilities matters across multiple locations in at least three municipalities

·         Foster and leverage cross-functional relationships to ensure consistent implementation of company directives across multiple brands and platforms

·         Work in partnership with compliance team to disseminate information to store managers and staff

·         Support editing and implementation of SOP’s for Serra and Electric Lettuce stores relating to daily operations, compliance and service

·         Work in partnership with compliance team to support health & safety, legal, and security matters; coordinate with Property Management, Store Management, and HR to take pro-active approach to potential facility issues

·         Coordinate repairs, facility improvements, and maintenance with third party contractors and Groundworks staff

·         In partnership with HR, ensure resources for handbooks, SOP’s, and Operational Guides are kept current and accessible to store staff and management

·         Support opening of new dispensaries, aiding in coordination of construction details, facilities, security, and IT

·         Ensure detailed and accurate reporting across multiple locations and functions through regular audits to enable management oversite and strategic decision making

·         Manage new product entry into systems in all stores

·         Provide inventory audits and METRC reporting in partnership with compliance

·         Manage packaging inventories and ordering for two growing dispensary chains, delivery service and Ecommerce site; strive toward efficiencies and cost savings in inventory management

·         Oversee supply and operational needs for all retail locations

·         Attend and contribute to weekly company business meetings

·         Maintain Gannt charts relating to new store openings and team projects

·         Support logistics of maintaining inventory balance and product transfers among multiple retail locations

·         Perform other related duties as requested by Company

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree from four-year university or comparable studies and a minimum of 3 years of related  experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills

·         Solid problem solving skills

·         Ability to effectively manage a large volume of detail-oriented tasks across multiple locations and teams

·         Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions; utilize this data to make recommendations and decisions

·         Ability to give and receive constructive feedback

·         Motivation toward process improvement with an ability to be creative in streamlining process and flow of systems

·         Interest in or knowledge of cannabis industry preferred

·         Approachable, mindful, and positive

·         Willingness to travel between Portland metro area, Oregon City, and Happy Valley as needed

·         Familiarity with BioTrack, METRC, and web-based sales applications, and Microsoft software

 

Licenses and other Requirements:

Marijuana Handler Permit must be acquired prior to start of employment

Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations required for working in this industry

Over 21 years of age

Reliable transportation a must
