CASHIER / STOCKER - Full-time / Part-time

Roland’s Grocery of Capitol Hill is now seeking proactive, self-driven, sales minded cashier/stocker to join our team. Deli shifts are from 8:00 a.m. - 10 p.m. during the week.

Seeking a cashier with 3 years’ experience operating working front end counter. Must have an outgoing attitude and provide our customers with an outstanding experience. Should be able to assist customers with locating products, answering questions, and efficient handling of customers at POS (cash register). Will monitor inventory levels to endure store is appropriately stocked. Assist with order placement and inventory stocking. Must have basic mathematical skills (calculation of margin, price, cost and count drawer cash). Will work effectively with other team members to keep store clean, stocked and well maintained.

• Experience on a service counter / deli atmosphere
• Ability to learn lottery counter and deli menu to prepare sandwiches, etc. May include breakfast menu such as breakfast sandwiches, prepared sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza and fried foods
• Food manager’s license (or the ability to obtain it within 30 days)
• Slicer skills & knife skills
• Thorough knowledge of food safety
• Willingness to follow company processes and procedures
• Complete other tasks as assigned by store management
