About this job

They will be responsible for effectively managing the planning and acquisition of materials to support operations. Will be using E2 ERP system.

Support the production requirements as defined by master scheduling. Includes purchase order placement and reschedules or expedites as required. Strategic sourcing initiatives and cost savings. Manage and monitor supplier performance and quality control activities. implement supplier management programs.

Must do physical inventory counts in the warehouse and be able to learn forklift driving when off contract period.

Work Environment: Working in an office setting adjacent to the shop floor. Will be the first person guests see. Office team of 6 supporting a production warehouse of 60+. Will also be in warehouse 30% of time doing physical counts.
Day shift M-F 8am-4:30pm
Dress: relaxed - jean and t shirt, would need to dress up a little more when they have scheduled vendors come in
Qualifications: Must be able to learn computer systems easily. ERP/MRP is not a must have.
Buying and inventory experience.
Vendor/Customer relations experience.
Must be trainable and willing to ask questions.
Good attendance and punctuality - verify with reference.
Forklift experience is not a must but must be willing to learn.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & oral).
Strong decision-making ability and creative problem solving skills.
Must have a customer-oriented focus with a creative, aggressive and winning attitude.
Performance Expectations: Exact buying/inventory experience is flexible if candidate has good computer skills and warehouse experience. Someone with international buying experience that wants over $20/hr will not be a good fit because of the smaller size of this business- they would be bored and not challenged.
1st day: Must have basic math skills, computer skills
