About this job
Medical facility in Upland, CA in need of Licensed Vocational Nurse for long term opportunity.
Qualifications Include:
- Previous experience working in an OBGYN office.
- 2(+) years of experience working in a specialty clinic.
- Previous experience processing labs and sending them out to 3rd party contract labs.
- Familiarity with how to navigate through and EMR system.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare patients for appointments with providers.
- Review Daily & Weekly schedule to ensure all results/reports are in the notes for the providers.
- Scribe all notes dictated by doctors while they are speaking with the patients.
- Ensure rooms are stocked and clean prior to patients arrival/appointment.
- Take vitals and basic patient history
- Review insurance forms and verify eligibility.
- Assist doctors with various task as needed (cleaning, stocking, answering phone calls, notes, or follow up)
- Perform patient follow up - call backs, messages, emails, and scheduling
- Send out patient reports as needed.
- Call 3rd party labs to send out specimens.
- Assist patients with refills
- Wash/Inspect instruments - package and sterilize as needed.
- Order supplies
