About this job
Field Service Engineer will be traveling to mills throughout North America servicing equipment. This person will be part of a team that participates in customer support service activities associated with aftermarket business and field support activities such as machine installs, rebuilds, etc. You will not be turning any wrenches in this role. You will in turn be working directly with mill employees and assisting with the troubleshooting of the equipment and install of any new parts.
Along with the Field Service responsibilities, this person will looking at any other equipment and up sell/ let the customer know what may need fixing in the near future to help with ordering of those parts. This can include but is not limited to sourcing parts, obtaining pricing from suppliers, quoting customers, following up on quotes and order confirming the sales.
This position is traveling between 30 and 50 percent of the time. Majority of the travel is Monday through Friday. All travel is in North America, with most of it being in the Midwest.
Must:
- Associates or Bachelors in Technical Field (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, etc.)
- 3+ years experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Field Service Engineer
- Hands on experience with industrial machinery
- Excellent Customer Service Skills (Will be interacting with clients throughout the time they are on site and be looking at other equipment for up selling opportunities)
Plus:
- Hydraulic Systems or Electrical/ Controls systems
- Knowledge of Inventor software
- Previous paper/ pulp industry knowledge
