Immediate Openings for Inspector Packers
1st Shift 7am to 7 pm
2nd Shift 7pm to 7am
12 Hour Shifts - only work 3 days one week & 4 days every other week.
Guion Road, Indianapolis IN (just 6 minutes from our office at 6000 Corporate Way)
Starting Pay is $11.68 - with substantial increase in pay upon conversion
Position Summary
Inspector Packer are responsible for the initial processing of newly molded plastic parts.
Inspector Packer will install plastic handles and gaskets, caps, vents, and covers to conform to customer requirements.
They will fill out all documentation associated with, part inspection, testing of flame treat, excessive flash, in a neat and orderly fashion. Perform on -line visual inspection of molded/completed product prior to storage

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows all Safety and Quality procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.
- Responsible for ensuring the compliance of “Food Product Safety”& “Product Quality” of the molded product, to meet the expectation of our customers.
- Upholds Site and Corporate Environmental Policies by following all Environmental Policies
- Knows common practices associated with the proper handling of food grade products per GMP requirements
- Reads and understands Production Schedule and Work Order
- Reviews and maintains Production Order Records (Batch Records)
- Follows all instructions both oral and written.
- Removes Flash from containers
- Applies proper components according to the packaging requirements
- Prepare packaging as required
- Applies proper labeling as required
- Performs flame treat, tag screws, inspects for neck flatness, weights, all hourly checks and record results.
- Performs final visual inspection per requirements of product prior to packaging
- Verifies and documents that the Leak Detection and Flamer
- Treatment is operating properly
- Stops equipment and clears jams.
- Informs Machine Attendant of machine issues.
- Informs Supervisor, Machine
- Attendant and Quality Department of any Quality Issues
- Participate in identifying the scope of potential Non-Conforming product through the Event Based Investigation (EBI) Process, if required, help quality personnel place product on hold through the Hold For Inspection (HFI) Process
- Perform daily check sheet duties.
- Perform Line Clearances
- Keeps work area supplied and organized.
- Keeps work area clean and organized
- Does not leave work area without notification
- Relieves personnel for breaks as required.

Education and/or Experience:
High School education or GED and three months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situation
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hand and arms; and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or craw and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
