Field Service - Calibration Tech - Full-time / Part-time

Our client in Robinson Twp is looking for a Calibration Service Tech.

JOB SUMMARY: Mechanically inclined individual who can work well alone and as part of a team performing vibration analysis testing, onsite balancing and laser alignment for industrial equipment.  Machinery diagnostics and vibration analyst experience preferred, but not required.

REPORTS TO: Field Service Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work alone, as crew member, or as crew leader.

1. Ability to work on AC and DC motors, generators, gear reducers, pumps and numerous   types of industrial equipment.

1. Ensure customer expectations are met and questions addressed.
2. Create professional-appearing reports.
3. Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear.
4. Maintain assigned truck and service equipment.
5. Assist sales staff (develop leads, occasional sales calls, etc).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Skills, Abilities, Physical Requirements, etc.):

1. Ability to work on feet for long periods of time, lift and carry 40 lbs, and occasional climbing of ladders and working at heights.
2. Mechanical aptitude required.
3. Ability to understand, perform and retain various job-related training and operational and safety procedures.
4. Ability to work well with others in a team effort.

REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, etc.):

1. High school diploma plus some field service training (high school, trade school, vocational/technical school, military or on-the-job).
2. Experience with industrial electro-mechanical machinery service.
3. Ability to travel.
4. Vibration analysis certifications preferred.
