Position Overview:
The Asset Protection Manager will work to positively impact Asset Protection Awareness, Internal/External Theft Investigations, Shrink Reduction Efforts/Training, Firearms Safety, Team Development and Team Engagement in the designated Retail Store. These functions must be performed in such a manner they will limit liability and protect the company's assets (people, property and propriety information). The Asset Protection Manager will also work to develop strong partnerships with the General Manager, Sr. Management Team and Outfitters in the Retail Store. The Asset Protection Manager will also be responsible for the hiring and the development of Asset Protection Specialists and Firearms Inspectors in the Retail Store.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for the Professional Development of self and Retail Asset Protection Specialists and Firearms Inspectors through successful on-boarding, training and coaching. Responsible for driving recognition and engagement of Asset Protection Specialists and Firearms Inspectors in Retail Store. Measured through formal visits, retention levels, senior level promotions, training completion and regular business reviews.
  • Inventory shrink reduction efforts to minimize bottom line loss in the retail store. This includes the training of both Outfitters and Retail Managers on trends to help limit loss. Measured through formal visits, physical inventory results, ability to diagnose root cause and develop partnerships to minimize loss.
  • Timely, legal and effective internal and external investigations that limit liability while reducing the overall impact to the company's bottom line. Measured through investigative productivity and training.
  • Asset Protection Awareness to promote collaboration and assistance to protect employees, customers and bottom line. Measured through number of employee TIPS received, number of employee TIPS paid, formal visits and collaboration with store leadership.
  • Responsible for the professional development of partnerships with Senior Management in the Retail Store to further develop business acumen and obtain buy-in for the Retail Asset Protection function.
  • Responsible for the timely management and execution of the Retail Asset Protection budget for retail store.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or Apprenticeship
  • 2 to 4+ Years Experience
  • Loss Prevention Qualified (LPQ) (Preferred)
  • Loss Prevention Certified (LPC) (Preferred)
  • Wicklander Certified (Preferred)
  • Hiring preference is given to qualified candidates who have achieved an Associate's Degree or Higher Education in combination with 2-4 years of Asset Protection or Loss Prevention Experience. Hiring preference is also given to candidates who have completed their LPQ or LPC Certification and have completed Wicklander Interview/Interrogation Training.
  • Offering Legendary Customer Service involves this position having access to be able to run programs that access the customer's unencrypted credit card, to be able to retrieve unencrypted cards for handling mail in returns, CLUB Visa Cards when customer is on site and left cards at home, research transactions for lost receipts, etc. With this said, this position requires the ability to access customer information including unencrypted credit cards.

  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, reports, computer screens and other written communication.
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers and co-workers.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk to fill orders, assist customers on the sales floor, etc.
  • Must be able to stock product at various racking levels, use step-stool or ladder, etc.
  • Must be able to place product on/off conveyor, trucks, shelving, etc.
  • Must be able to write, type and use phone system.
  • Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
