About this job

The Reserves Network is currently seeking several skilled Machinists to work at established companies located on the East and West side of Cleveland.

1st and 2nd shift positions available (hours vary based on company)
$14.00-$24.00/hr, based on experience and skills set, temp to hire opportunities

Job Purpose:

Produces machined parts by operating skilled machines such as:
-CNC Mills/Lathes - Haas, Mori Seiki Haas, Okuma
-Centerless Thru Feed Grinders
-Warner and Swasey Screw Machines
-Hydromat Machines
Maintaining quality and safety standards
Keeping records
Maintaining equipment and supplies

Duties Include:

Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints/schematics, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Requirements Include:

Conceptual, Functional and Technical Skills
Experience with Micrometers, Calipers and Optical Comparators

Experience with controls, tooling, off sets and Instrumentation
Familiar with G & M Codes
Supply Management
Coordination
Inventory Control
Attention to Detail and excellent judgment
Must be flexible and able to meet hiring requirements
