Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions

Under the general direction of the Assistant Deputy Director, provides administrative support for the development and execution of programs and activities within the Office of Health Protection; assists the Assistant Deputy Director in coordinating and organizing committees and meeting materials; coordinates the development and distribution of electronic documents and presentations; schedules meetings, conferences and video conferences; provides scheduling of travel. Assists in the interpretation and implementation of department/office policies and procedures. Assists the Assistant Deputy Director in drafting, editing and compiling necessary documents for the promulgation of rules, regulations and procedures. Functions in a liaison capacity with various office and department staff on matters relating to the responsibilities of the Assistant Deputy Director. Serves as liaison to the general public, other state and federal agencies, and research organizations in responding to inquiries. Provides administrative support to Assistant Deputy Director.

Minimum Requirements:Requires knowledge skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration. Requires one year of professional experience in a public or private organization, or completion of an agency training program. Prefers working knowledge of spreadsheet applications, development of SmartSheets and advanced features of word processing packages. Prefers working knowledge of agency programs, rules and regulations. Prefers extensive knowledge of office procedures and programs.
