Open Position: Class A --Flatbed Line Driver
Shift: Monday-Friday early morning start time!!
Salary: $18.00 per hour + OT
Job Description:
Staffamrk Drivers is currently looking for Local Class A Flatbed Delivery Drivers , with some dedicated runs to Las Vegas or Phoenix for a private owned business close around the West Covina area. Drivers will be delivering wholesale roofing supplies and MUST be knowledgeable in strapping down flatbed loads and using a curtain side type bed.
Requirements:
23 years of age or older
Valid Class A license
Valid Medical Certificate
1 year or more Class A flatbed delivery driving experience with in the past 3 years
No more than 2 moving violations and/or 2 at fault accidents w/in the past 3 years
No DUI's/Reckless driving or other major violation in the past 5 years
Must be able to provide current DMV Printout H-6 (10 year), issued within the past 30 days
Driver must be able make runs out to Las Vegas or Phoenix with two or three days out when not doing local.
Driver will be required to strap down load, tarp during inclement weather, and be able to secure load to ensure safe deliveries. Driver will need to ensure time sensitive deliveries and be accountable and responsible for loads being delivered.
Driver must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs. Also driver will assist customers with unloading metal supplies and make sure all delivery metal product is secure before leaving the yard and customers locations, loads will be offload at the customer/ company site with a forklift, and will also assist doing pickups at customer job sites; driver will also tarp during weather change.
Driver is required to wear steel toe boots, jeans/pants, and have a neat and clean appearance. Must have good customers service skills, will communicate with field crews and must be to able to find job sites without directions by using a Thomas guide or GPS.
Other Job Responsibilities:
Driver will be required to wear steel toed boots, long pants or jeans and have a neat/clean appearance.
Driver should be able to use GPS or Thomas Guide to ensure timely delivery.
Driver MUST have excellent customer service and assist where needed and asked.
