Job Summary
Assist in carrying out various Human Resources programs and procedures. Assist with implementation of policy and coordinates human resources activities, such as hiring, onboarding, labor relations, and employee services. Conduct research, maintain and update personnel records, and organize and conduct employee meetings when needed.
Duties and Essential Job Functions
1. Initial set up of new hires and entering data into electronic onboarding system. Monitor electronic processing of new hire information. Enter pertinent data such as background screening information into system
2. Verify that all new hire paperwork is complete and accurate in system
3. Complete record/employment verification requests
4. Prepare and maintain all appropriate employee information for file maintenance
5. Perform periodic audits of records, files, and documents. Research discrepancies and take corrective action
6. Conduct internal audits for branch offices on various Human Resources matters
7. Issue all access/security badges and parking passes
8. Conduct research, generate reports, provide information, answer questions, and resolve routine inquiries
9. Assist with EEO, ADA, FLSA and other legal issues when requested
10. Coordinate with and guide managers through employee investigations and complaints with the assistance of the Regional HR Director
11. Provide information as requested on a variety of Human Resources issues
12. Conduct exit interviews and assist in all functions in the termination process
13. Responsible for sending new hire and anniversary cards for CEO, bereavement program for internal employees and the employee service recognition programs
14. Responds to internal/temporary feedback HR hotline
15. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
1. Understand and support the Vision and Values of Staffmark.
2. Minimum of an Associates Degree from an accredited college or university combined with prior HR experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management and one to two years of practical experience.
3. HR Professional certification preferred.
4. HRIS experience, preferably with Peoplesoft or a similar system.
5. Excellent customer service, with a positive, calm and patient demeanor.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Excellent listening skills, phone skills, and documentation skills.
8. The ability to resolve problems and provide meaningful solutions or alternatives.
9. General Microsoft Office Word and Excel experience.
10. High sense of integrity and ability to work with confidential data required.
11. Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
12. Self-motivated with the ability to multitask.
13. Ability to appropriately and safely handle confidential and/or private information.
14. Ability to work in a high volume environment and meet time-sensitive deadlines.

1. The ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) with periodic evening and weekend work.
