Job Description

Job Summary:

Supervises daily operations, workflow and resources of assigned area.

Responsibilities:

  • Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
  • Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to departmental clinicians.
    Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinates patient care with other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
  • Assists with addressing issues related to educational initiatives, evidence based care, conflict resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services/systems, and performance measures.
  • Ensures associates reporting to position meet competency standards.

  • Qualifications

    Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s): Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Additional Life Support certifications may be required within 1 year of hire for specific job locations. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the state of Wisconsin or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Preferred Credential(s): Certified Advanced Life Support specializing in Advanced Cardio Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA). Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA). Certified Registered Nurse credentialed from the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
    Specialty certifications may be preferred based upon clinical practice area. Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Nursing Pediatrics credentialed from the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA). Pediatric Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Education:

  • Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Work Experience:

  • Two (2) years of related experience preferred.
