The team-oriented units specialize in rehabilitation care of patients with ,a wide variety of diagnoses including stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's, spinal cord injury, amputation, joint replacement, oncology, and general medical disorders.
Position Description: The Position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Nurses, Supervisor of the Nursing Unit or Charge Nurse. According to hospital policies and procedures, the Staff Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care and teaching for assigned patients.
Your role will be part of the inter-disciplinary team that assists the patient in reaching the highest level of function in order to return home.
Night and weekend shift differentials are available.
A Weekend plan is available Job Qualifications Experience: Required: Graduation from an NLN school of professional nursing.
Preferred: 1 year RN experience; Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree. License/Certification: Required: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
Current certification from the American Heart Association as a BLS Health Care provider.
Preferred: Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN)
