RN Float Pool: This position assesses patients (on the unit to which the RN is assigned)for educational, physiological, psychosocial, comfort and safety needs.
Plans and coordinates care. Performs treatments, procedures, andadministers medication within state Registered Nurse practice guidelines.
Follows up with other associates, other departments, and others asnecessary.
Primary purpose of the Float/Transition Pool is to fill in for illcalls and times of high census or to cover for LOA's.
Required to floatto all nursing units where competencies have been completed.
(Except specialprocedure units i.e.
cath lab, angio etc.) Licensure: Current State of Idaho Registered Nurse license or RN Compact license required.
Current AHA CPR for Healthcare Provider's certification.
Experience: At least one-year medical/surgical acute care hospital experience required.
Education: Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
Has frequent interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other departments, patients and their families.
Must have the sensitivity, maturity and ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Will follow assigned unit dress code and present a professional image.
