Job Description
Job Summary:
Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
Responsibilities:
Performs select clinical duties.
Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Monitors patients condition prior to, during and after procedures and promptly reports any abnormal findings.
Prepares surgical cart and hands required instruments and supplies to the surgeon .
Maintains instruments in an organized manner and tracks instrument count throughout the procedure.
Interprets, describes and reports results: recognizes errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.
Sets up pain records, schedules patients for appointments and returns patient/physician phone calls.
Prepares sterile setting and assists pain physicians with pain procedures.
Collects data as required.
Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area.
