Textile CAD Designer (contract position)
Department: Product Development - Children's (Apparel)
Location: Framingham, MA
Full-Time: Monday-Friday
In a team centered environment, the Temporary CAD Designer executes original artwork for textile design for the company's private label brands. Uses various CAD programs, i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Kaledo and/or Generation Digital to design and recolor prints, embroideries, beadwork, appliques and yarn dyes. Collaborates with the design managers and specialists to execute artwork and prioritize projects to coincide with the department's seasonal deadlines. Interfaces with the Information Technology Department and external technical support to correct systemic issues and maintain the equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Uses technical and creative knowledge and ability to execute finished, CAD artwork projects based on the direction and needs of the Design Managers and Specialists
- Uses resources such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Kaledo and Generation Digital to design and recolor prints/repeats and embroideries, appliques and yarn dyes
- Prepares completed, production ready artwork package in a timely manner based on the product type
- Organizes materials and prioritizes projects based on the department's seasonal deadlines
- Ensures that equipment and files are updated and maintained using internal and external technical support as needed
- Orders and maintains supplies for CAD equipment when needed
- Color matching of seasonal palette to be used in CAD programs
- Special projects as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Apparel/Textile Design preferred or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Kaledo and/or Generation Digital
- Strong graphic design, illustration, print development capabilities
- Excellent color matching skills required
- Ability to take direction from many associates with varying communication styles
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the apparel/fashion industry
- Portfolio of artwork or related design projects required
