Solution Developer III- BI Developer (Analytics/Tableau)

Responsibilities

• Model, design, build, test and maintain applications using Tableau and Alteryx. Working directly with the business consumers, elicit requirements, prototype, deliver capability iteratively and quickly leveraging the full capabilities of the tool.
• Work collaboratively with other IT areas and 3 rd parties in local and global locations.
• Ensure ongoing operational stability of key analytics applications in production by working with support and administration teams.
• Maintain, improve and enforce best practices for Analytics including; design, build and implementation phases across projects and business as usual processes
• Collaborate and work with Business users and business analysts, database administrators, and managers, to design and develop analytics solutions.
• Train and support power users/data analysts in usage of Analytics solutions as part of project roll-outs.
• Work with Governance and data quality teams to ensure adherence of data standards within applications.

Requirements:

• 8-10 years in IT, specifically in the technical design, development and implementation or support of business systems.
• Bachelor's Degree in technology or information systems or equivalent work experience.
• Extensive hands on development experience with Tableau to build and deliver highly impactful visualizations to business users.
• Working experience using Alteryx as a reporting data prep tool with data sourced from multiple sources.
• Hands on experience building analytical applications leveraging multiple database topologies like Enterprise Data Warehouse, Hadoop, other Legacy sources like flat files, access db. etc.
• Hands on development experience with Cognos (v10.2 or v11), TM1 (v10+) or PowerBI is also desirable.
• Experience developing within an Agile/DevOps environment.
• Ability to work both independently and within teams as a Developer/Lead
• Sound understanding of any business domains associated in previous work engagements (previous Retail experience is a bonus)
• Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills. Ability to discuss technical concepts directly with Business users.
