Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Human Resource Specialist for a contract opportunity in Richmond, VA with one of the nation's largest producers and transporters of energy. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience with an industry leader currently operating the nation's largest natural gas storage system.


As a Human Resource Specialist you will:

Provide recruiting support in addition to partnering closely with field HR and business leadership to execute a recruiting strategy that is consistent with the business goals. The successful candidate must be able to build and cultivate strong, long-term relationships with Human Resources, the management team, and prospective candidates.


Job Duties:
  • Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers
  • Counsel hiring managers on issues such as recruiting trends, industry best practices, and diversity
  • Screen and phone-interview applicants based upon job description and job qualifications
  • Work with Staffing Administrator to schedule testing and face-to-face interviews with candidates
  • Work with HR and hiring managers to develop appropriate job offers for candidates
  • Follow up with unsuccessful candidates
  • Update applicant tracking system as necessary

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years full life cycle recruiting experience
  • Proficient and have proven track record of sourcing, screening, and presenting qualified
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and work well in a team environment
  • Previous experience utilizing an applicant tracking system is preferred

Skills/Knowledge:
  • Bachelor's Required

Additional Information:
  • 4-5 Month Contract
  • 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours a day.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel.
