About this job
Our client, a specialized epoxy flooring subcontractor, is actively looking to bring on several traveling floor installers to join the team. They are looking for construction minded people and are willing to train. This job entails extensive travel across the US as almost all of the work will not be close to home.
The job sites are new builds and remodels of pet care facilities including retail sites, veterinarian office, kennels, and doggy day care. The team installs epoxy coatings to unfinished floors during construction. The epoxy coating provides a durable, hygienic, non-porous, and easily clean floor.
Responsibilities Include:
Unloading material, equipment, and supplies from the truck to prepare for each work day
Sanding, cleaning, and tearing up existing floors
Applying epoxy coating using trowels, hand grinders, rollers and paintbrushes
Working from a kneeling, crouching, or bent over position frequently
Operating hand held power tools and other equipment
Sweeping, wiping down, and cleaning up job site at the end of each day
Qualifications:
-1+ year of experience working as a carpenter, concrete finisher, tradesman, or general laborer
-Strong attention to detail
-Previous work experience using hand tools
-Great Communication Skills (written & verbal)
-Valid Driver's License & Reliable Transportation
-Ability to work Flexible Schedule (weekends, nights, long hours)
-Able to lift up to at least 50 -75 lbs.
-Willingness to Travel
