About this job

This Production Operator position takes place in a semi-cleanroom environment, having to wear PPE including hairnet, safety glasses, and company-provided uniform and safety shoes. It will involve running up to 12 highly automated, electronically controlled machines performing a polishing function for silicon wafer processing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SOFT SKILLS:

Candidates must have a strong attention to detail, and exceptional time management and multitasking skills to be able to monitor machine progression for multiple machines with each being at different stages of the process. Basic math and computer skills are also necessary as well, including general proficiency with email and Microsoft Excel. Candidates must also be highly organized, willing and ready to learn and be trained, and able to work well with others as part of a team of 4 to 5 per shift crew.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must be physically capable to perform in a very active and strenuous, fast paced production environment. It is routinely required to lift or manipulate 25 lb. cases of material continuously throughout the day, loading and unloading the machinery. Additionally, certain machine maintenance obligations will be involved, including having to change out and clean certain parts and chemicals within the machine. This will entail some awkward bending, reaching, and lifting heavier parts into and out of the machines frequently throughout the day as well. Candidates must be able to stand or be walking consistently throughout the day and able to do so on a 12-hour shift. There is no sitting in this job, and a high sense of urgency is a must to keep machines running efficiently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of recent and proven experience and good tenured work history in production, warehouse, machine operation roles and environments for highest consideration and pay potential.
