Currently seeking a production planner to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment!

In this role, the ideal candidate will need be be able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment. Candidates with experience tracking and managing inventory, using SAP / ERP systems, using Microsoft Excel, and exceptional organization skills please apply!

This position will start on a 6 month contract to hire duration. It will be a 1st shift opening working from 7:00A - 4:00P. Overtime is expected.

Job Duties:

  • Uses customer electronic or hard copy product release schedules to plan monthly, weekly, and daily production flat schedules.
  • Compares actual production to scheduled production on a daily basis and makes schedule changes as needed to satisfy customer demands and inventory goals.
  • Uses Customer demand data and inventory data to produce a monthly master schedules (Forward Plan).
  • Integrates the production of new or revised parts (PSW) into the production schedules. Follows up to insure schedule requirements are met.
  • Coordinates and schedules the activities of other departments such as Production, Quality, Production Engineering, and Procurement to match Customer requirements for product.
  • Responsible to the accuracy and Quantity of Finished goods inventory and for the accuracy and Quantity of Work in Process components. ("Work in Process components" are those components delivered to their first production operation.)
  • Responsible to accurately maintain item master files and other files as directed by the supervisor (Pertains to Planning).
  • Responsible to achieve Finished Goods and Work in Process inventory targets.
  • Responsible for ordering components for production plan.
  • Responsible for making vendors deliver on time.
  • Responsible for maintaining KANBAN for finished goods.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience working with Microsoft Excel, SAP, Aurora, or relevant inventory tracking system
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong communication skills to communicate with other members in the PC&L group, as well as production supervisors
  • Ability to adapt to fast paced environment
