About this job

We are seeking skilled CNC Operators and Programmers and conducting immediate interviews for our local family owned machine shop in Cumberland County! They have an immediate need for a CNC Lathe Programmer and then a CNC Mill operator.

Selling points:

  • Small family owned company with opportunity for growth
  • Industry competitive benefits with different levels, and they pay for 80% of deductible
  • IRA enrollment
  • Vacation and personal time

Job Duties/Qualifications:
Lathe:
They are looking for any candidates with at least 5+ years in the field of CNC operation and at least 2-3 years programming. They run Mazak lathes in the shop and would be responsible for programming these machines in the shop and operation. They are looking for candidates that can program conversational machining with Mazatrol. For someone that can program, they would need to be able to look at a print and write the program in the controls to make the part. They also would look at someone who can edit programs, which would be open and load programs, set the tooling and operate.

Mill:
On the mill side, they have CNC Mazaks and Fadal's in the shop. They would be looking for candidates that have experience with either Mazatrol for the Mazak's or G code for the Fadal's. They are looking for a CNC operator of 3-5 years. They don't need a programmer in this role because they have individuals that program these machines off site. Ideally they are looking for someone to make minor edits to the programs and change tooling or fixtures and operate per print.

For both positions they are expected to perform inspections on parts, such as first article inspection, final inspection and they also perform random inspections. Candidates should have own tools and know how to read micrometers and calipers to perform inspections.
