MECHANICAL DRAFTSMAN
Summary of responsibilities:
- 2D Draftsman to produce drawings for metal fabrication or machining in support of a 3D Designer.
- Prepare clear, complete, and accurate working drawings using SolidWorks for customer approval, engineering, manufacturing or advertisement.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Uses CAD equipment and software to create detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams or layouts.
- Drawings are to include details in all views with dimensions necessary for approval and manufacturing.
- Create bills of material and maintain drawing database.
- Solid understanding of drafting techniques and learn company equipment and terminology. Read, learn, and apply established standard guidelines to all drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.
Education, Experience, and Skills Desired
- Associate of Arts Degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design, Graphic Arts, or related field or; Two years drafting experience.
- Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use related Computer Aided Design (CAD) equipment and software systems such as SolidWorks or AutoDesk including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
