About this job

Job Description: Candidates will be working in a food manufacturing environment. They could be working in colder temperatures from 33 degrees to 44 degrees. They could also work in temperatures up to 90 degrees to 100 degrees depending on what is needed for production. Candidates will be on their feet for 10- 12 hours per shift. They will be dealing with very fast moving products at a non-stop pace. There are no sit down jobs available on the production floor. They will be working with raw meat or bakery type areas depending on production needs. Work Environment: Conagra is a very large food manufacturing facility. They produce the Slim Jim brand snacks and Duke snacks. There are two buildings. Building one has equipment updated from the 80s and building 2 has equipment updated from the 2000's. They have expanded a ton and are adding another $15 mil in expansion over this year.

The work environment will be in a refrigerated environment (33-45 degrees) or in a bakery (90-100 degrees) for most positions.
Qualifications: MUSTS HAVES
-General Production
-Assembly Line
-Good hand eye coordination
-Quality control of slim jim's and duke's products (no jerky)
-Quality control of all pizza, bread, and other frozen food for schools and grocery stores.
-Standing for 12 hours at a time
-Must adhere to safety policy procedures
-MONITORING PRODUCTION LINE
-PULLING bad product and mis-shaped product off the production line

NICE TO HAVES
- GMP standard background
- Food manufacturing background

DISQUALIFIERS
- Work at Conagra at all in the past
- Interviewed within the last year

EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED
Performance Expectations:

TYPICAL DAY
- Day starts with morning team meeting over what they are running that day.
- They run production to hit qouta
- Could be on their feet all day for 8 to 12 hours

TRAINING
-Candidates will go through 1 week of classroom training.

First week is 9am -5pm

-When moving to shift they will be expected to be self starters, getting work done quickly and efficiently.

- They will be paired with a mentor for 1 to 2 weeks into they are catching on well enough to be on their own.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
-There will be regular reviews with their supervisors to track performance.

- They will need to work independently once they get through training.

Additional Compensation: Benefits kick in at 61 days.
401k match $1 for $1 up to 6%
Possibility for raise after 90 days
Additional Information: HOURS:
2nd shift building 1 - Mon- Fri and every other Sat.
Slim Jim - 3pm - 11:30pm
Raw Meat - 3pm - 1:30am

2nd shift building 2 - 7 days straight on 5 days off 7 days straight on 2 days off (Same repeating pattern)
Grinding - 3pm - 1:30am
Stuffing - 4pm - 2:30am


Must have steel toed boots.
Must wear hair net (beard net if necessary)
Must wear ear plugs

No jewelry allowed on floor at all.
