Aerotek is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Drafter with experience in AutoCAD for a manufacturing client in Redmond, OR. This is a 6 month Contract-to-Hire position paying $17.00/hour and up depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
* Under supervision, you will develop designs in AutoCAD (80% of the time) and Inventor (20% of the time) to meet customer specifications for multiple projects and priorities
* Perform work which involves using standard design rule, but may include a variety of features, components, and unique materials
* Follow company policies, new product development processes, and design guidelines.
* Design air handlers and accessories for use in commercial applications with high standards for quality and performance.
* Participate on new product design teams
* Release designs to production using business processes and automation aids
Job Qualifications:
* Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience with 3D software preferred (Inventor or SolidWorks)
* Experience with sheet metal or structural design preferred
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate technically, both internally with various departments and externally with customers as needed
* Strong organization skills, attention to detail with effective ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a timeline driven environment
* Motivated, creative, and enthusiastic to learn, and ability to work in cross-functional teams
* Independent analysis and judgment skills in using prior experience and knowledge of company policies and procedures to resolve non-standard problems
