CAD Designer - Full-time / Part-time

Responsibilities include:
* Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using computer aided design.
* Review and produce engineering drawings with adherence to established specifications and standards.
* Operates CAD computer, scanners, and printers.
* Works with engineers, scientists and other technical personnel to render concepts.
* Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using CAD software
* Coordinate and consult with other workers to design, layout, and detail components and systems and to resolve design problems
* Specify requirements for and coordinate with component suppliers, material suppliers, machine shops, and fabricators for the construction of engineering models and prototypes
* Inspect and assist with review of subcontracted fabricated items in accordance with the developed drawings and requirements
* Support configuration management for the electronic drawing database
* Check and approve drawings; may also approve designs and completed drawings of other designers and/or train less experienced employees in the use of CAD and other design tools
