Looking for a Customer Service Rep to handle accounts and do account management.
Primary duties will include:
- Taking care of shipping and receiving paperwork for the warehouse staff
- Making calls to trucking company's to coordinate logistics of trucks coming to Chambersburg terminal
- Taking calls from trucking companies to schedule new appointments to come to Chambersburg
- Verifying with management that there is space in the warehouse for incoming freight
- Using computer system to set up loads to be shipped out.
- Use computer system to keep track of what's in the inventory within the warehouse
- Keep inventory up to date day to day which includes high level of interaction with management
This role is a lot of logistic but is in the customer service center. Handling customer calls, calls from truck drivers, orders, inventory counts, get order sheets out on the floor, and check what's being picked up.
Basically managing the flow of freight coming and going in and out of the facility. The account managers/customer service representative are in charge of all logistics for their assigned accounts from start to finish. The example given to me is that if a company from New York is bringing freight to Chambersburg, the customer service representative/Account Manager is responsible for everything. Everything could include the initial phone call, checking warehouse system to ensure there is space in Chambersburg for the product, follow up phone calls, problems from trucking company when freight in in route, all the way until that freight is safely placed in Chambersburg warehouse.
