Flooring Sales Rep for Growing Construction Company

Flooring Sales Rep needed for growing flooring construction company in South Tampa.

We are one of Tampa Bay's premier flooring and cabinetry companies, serving Hillsborough County, Pinellas County, Pasco County and more.

The volume of jobs and projects we're taking on is increasing month by month. We are hiring a sales rep with skills in estimating to do take-offs from building plans received by builders and general contractors for upcoming projects. This position will not be doing the measurements in the field; they will be using an estimating software and working with the sales team to rapidly bid and close projects.

The requirements for this position are:

- Familiarity with a flooring estimating software like RFMS Measure, Floor Right, Measure Square, Calidus.
- Strong knowledge of flooring and tile products, manufacturers, and installation requirements.
- Working knowledge of flooring installation, both commercial and residential.
- 2 years experience in estimating and sales for flooring specifically.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects/estimates and present a high level of organization while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient with MS Office software.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Review construction documents and assess scope of work
- Prepare estimates of probable costs of material and labor for construction projects based on construction documents, contract bids, quotations, design or schematic drawings and specifications
- Identify any omissions or inaccuracies in plans received from architect
- Maintain estimating computer files, including bid documents and plans
- Work closely with sales team to successfully win bids and kick off project production

This position pays a base salary pf 35,000 plus a commission on each deal that is estimated and closed, whether directly with a client or assisting another sales rep.
