Security Investigator

Whelan Security is looking for a talented and driven Investigator to service a major account in Memphis, Tennessee.

Position Description
Investigators will (all but not limited to) conduct approved security investigations involving theft, violence, and property damage/loss. The Investigators will also conduct approved covert investigation on site. Ensure that investigations are undertaken in accordance to Security Management approval.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Review and utilize Security Missing Merchandise/Recovery Reports and Tips to generate internal cases
• Identify misconduct through Access Control Reports, Physical & CCTV Surveillance
• Conduct multiple investigations throughout the Memphis Distribution Center Market
• Respond to Distribution Centers to interview Employees at any time
• Investigators will communicate weekly schedule to Security Manager of Investigation by EOD Friday. Investigators are required to work 40 hours a week. One night per week, one mid-shift per week and weekends when necessary.
• Communicate Missing Merchandise/Recovery Trends with Security Management on weekly, monthly and year to date basis
• Communicate Open Investigations with Security Management on a daily, weekly, monthly, and year to date basis
• Partner with Local Authorities to bring investigations to resolution
• Prepare required Investigation Summary Sheets and I-Trak Investigation Reports

• Become proficient in all company software systems (on-boarding, scheduling, financial, CRM)
• 100% compliance to the Whelan Mandatory Requirements

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of relevant experience. Candidates must demonstrate a stable work history and pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state, and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessments, interviews, past employment verification, and a personality profile (behavioral assessment).

Education

Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:

• A college degree ( Associate’s/Bachelor’s or greater) is preferred although equivalent experience will be considered
