Job Overview:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Gross Margin Planning, support planning and decision making by identifying and evaluating information in order to create topside financial and location plans. Other essential projects as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in building topside monthly financial plans for MCY.
• Develop first pass of daily financial sales plans for total MCY and by location.
• Maintain monthly regional and location daily plan files.
• Develop both regular and ad hoc reports for senior management, extensive use of Retail systems, including ROSRPT, SALSUM, STKMKD, PACE, and Standard Reports.
• Own monthly Preliminary and Final financial daily plan correspondences.
• Prepare analysis on variance to plan due to unforeseen impacts such as natural disasters.
• Develop guidance for Merchant teams on how to plan events including shifts in marketing cadence.
• Partner with MST, on maintenance of daily plans by FOB & location.
• Work with and change macros (capability to develop on job).
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree Required and 1- 2 years of Marketing or Planning experience preferred.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mathematical Skills:

• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Reasoning Ability:

• Works with minimal supervision, is highly motivated, flexible, shows strong attention to detail and is able to manage multiple demands.

Physical Demands:

• This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment.
• May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Other Skills:

• Analytical skills, able to develop effective statistical spreadsheets, and interpret results.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of merchant/planning terminology strongly recommended.
• Comfortable with large sets of data, Excel skills strongly encouraged.
• Proven experience in MS Excel, including using advanced formulas

Work Hours:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
