Job Overview:

The Technology Compliance Team works with and provides guidance to teams throughout Macy’s Tech to document and review policies and procedures, to foster a culture of transparency and cross-functional communication, to promote compliance with internal and external rules and regulations, to monitor adherence to policies and procedures, and to address compliance gaps in a way that fits with our culture and business objectives. As a part of this dynamic team, you will be an active participant in shaping the compliance effort at Macy’s Tech.

The Compliance Analyst is responsible for tracking compliance with both Macy’s Tech and Macy’s Inc. policies and procedures, partnering with various process owners to create and deliver regular compliance reporting, functional training materials, and building and maintaining close relationships with teams across the enterprise to ensure knowledge-sharing and alignment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Create regular compliance reports for process owners and business functions, and communicate results with management.
• Coordinate and/or deliver functional training and communication.
• Foster good working relationships with cross-functional teams and business process owners.
• Conduct research as assigned and provide recommendations for improving the compliance position of various functional areas.
• Assist in documenting policies, processes, procedures, roles, responsibilities, standards, meeting minutes related to the compliance effort.
• Assist in communication, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures across business units.
• Inform stakeholders of operational performance by developing and maintaining a compliance calendar and publishing regular reports for management.
• Demonstrate excellent project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility, engage cross-functional team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• BA/BS, and 1-2 years relevant work experience.

Communication Skills:

• Clear and effective communication skills (written, oral, and listening).

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Critical thinking capabilities.
• Strong attention to quality and detail.

Other Skills:

• Familiarity with retail industry, ecommerce, IT, and software development concepts.
• Familiarity with PCI standards, application security, or risk a plus.
• Word, Acrobat, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Wiki, and SharePoint proficiency.
• Project management, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Must be highly motivated and demonstrate ability to complete assignments effectively.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Work Hours:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
