The Custodial Team Lead is responsible for the Custodial Team, on mountain and at the bases of the resort.  The essential job function is to manage the cleaning and inspection of facilities to ensure the cleanliness and safety of property, guests, and personnel.  This position has the opportunity to lead an internal staff, a mountain staff, and a third-party contracted service.  Join our team and enjoy perks such as a Free Epic Pass for yourself and your dependents, retail, lodging, and restaurant discounts, a Free SLC-PC Connect bus pass, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401-k, and more!

Duties/Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct the efforts of co-workers while on shift.
  • Facilitate budget preparation.
  • Monitor staff workloads to ensure efficiency, and ensure that proper levels of service are delivered.
  • Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times.
  • Make scheduled checks of facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety of property: check all floors, stairwells, and storage spaces; check outside building, parking lots, vehicles, machinery, and surrounding areas in accordance with supervisory direction.
  • Respond to emergency situations quickly and efficiently.
  • Prevent damage to or theft of company property, and report violations of company rules and regulations. 
  • Report all fires, and attempt to extinguish as appropriate.
  • Maintain daily records and logs of Custodial Department incidences and activities – file required reports.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least four years of custodial or housekeeping experience required.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Clean driving record required.
  • Ability to deal with guests and personnel in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Ski or snowboard ability preferred.
  • Spanish fluency preferred.
  • Ability to be exposed to inclement weather conditions.
  • Ability to work standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, etc.
  • Ability to work around motors, pumps, gear boxes, boilers, chillers, etc.  Work will be performed around potentially moving equipment – safety precautions required.
  • Must be in good physical condition.
