Job Description Starr Regional Medical Center
FLOOR TECH POSITION AVAILABLE IN ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES – FT POSITION
JOB COMPETENCIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TOO:
Assumes responsibility for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining the hospital physical facility and furnishings.
Assumes responsibility for cleaning and picking up trash in outside areas
Assumes responsibility for the collection and disposal of hospital waste.
Assumes responsibility for the handling and distribution of linen.
Carries beeper when assigned, and responds to requests from entire medical center.
Actively works as a member of the department team and toward team goals
Actively works toward the department and medical center missions
Responsible for transporting labs, pharmacy items, and general supplies between campuses using a hospital vehicle during weekends and holidays.
Cleans and maintains carpet.
Strips, refinishes and maintains hard surface floors
Assumes responsibility for making judgement calls, when assigned as only housekeeper in house on AM and night shifts.
