About this job
Westlake, OH Company has an immediate need for a Payment Posting Specialist. Hours are first shift; salary is $10-13.50 an hour (based upon experience). This is a full-time, contract position with the possibility of hire.
Responsibilities and Duties
Payment Processing: Entry of insurance patient payments in software.
Strong Data Entry: 10-Key proficiency and fast typing skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information, including patient data; learn, understand and meet all current company security guidelines as it pertains to your duties and responsibilities.
Continually increase your knowledge and abilities within the product suite and other related work queues.
Communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
Understand and abide by escalation procedures and interdepartmental policies.
Qualifications and Skills
High School Diploma/GED required.
1-2 years of Payment Processing/Data Entry experience (preferably in a Medical Office).
40 WPM/10,000 KPH; Data Entry Assessment (required).
Dependable, good attendance, solid organizational and communication skills (oral & written), detail oriented; able to work independently.
Experience handling health information in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant regulation.
Can read an Explanation of Benefit form (EOB) or UB.
Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates.
