The Internal Communications Manager for the Love’s Family of Companies will work with senior management to develop a strategy to inspire and engage more than 20,000 employees across the country and deepen the commitment to our culture. This manager will have a profound understanding of internal communications and the role it plays in overall business communications. He or she will have experience collaborating with multiple departments, especially human resources, IT, and corporate events teams, and a proven record of successfully leading a team of communicators.

 

 We’re looking for an internal communications manager who is a strong, experienced writer and editor who can coach a team to excellence. He or she should have strategic vision, the ability to manage several projects simultaneously, and be energized by a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develop and implement company-wide internal communication strategy.
  • Create communication plans for key initiatives.
  • Coach and inspire a team to produce excellent stories, content, and campaigns that enhance our business goals.
  • Write company announcements, as needed.
  • Manage the channels and platforms used to communicate with employees including SharePoint intranet, email tracking and analytics programs, Social Chorus mobile app and more.
  • Establish credibility as a trusted resource and develop strong relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Build consensus across cross-functional teams and influence decision making with senior leaders to achieve business objectives.
  • Understand and recommend new technologies, tools, and best practices to most effectively reach and engage employees.
  • Build and leverage employee feedback channels, monitor in real-time, and analyze data from regular surveys.
  • Create and deliver company presentations.
  • Lead the internal communication response to crisis situations.

    Lead key employee initiatives including a national fundraising campaign, as well as creating content, talking points, scripts and timelines for employee events and awards programs.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate business topics into clear, compelling messaging for a diverse internal audience.
  • Strong ability to build cross-functional relationships across all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and leading projects, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience developing creative, effective approaches to communications challenges.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate, build teamwork and trust.
  • Positive, motivated self-starter adaptable to change.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in communications with emphasis on internal or corporate communications
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; SharePoint experience is a plus.
