About this job

If you are a Mechanical Assembler and looking for work we have a great position for you in Mooresville. A new customer is looking for several Assembly Technicians to work from 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday. This is a temp to hire position with the pay ranging from $12-$13.

Purpose of Job
Work with the Electronic and Mechanical Engineers and Technologists to develop and assemble equipment. Technicians will participate in the design, build, test and installation project phases as assigned.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards

Provide aid to engineers and Software Developers to create sound designs, which meet the requirements of the customer and/or specifications.
Work with all company functions and gorups to optimize designs for cost, quality, and manufacturability.
Maintain complete engineering documentation of projects.
Provide techinical assistance to shop and customers, as required.
Perform all duties within the ISO 9001 process and procedures established.


Skills

Mechanical assembly including sheet metal working, drilling, tapping and fitting.
Electrical assembly including wire soldering, connector and computer assembly.
Ability to develop, follow and document build, test and troubleshooting procedures.
Self motivation to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision and direction.

Requirements

Candidates must have: High School diploma or GED, 4-5 years of mechanical/electric assembly experience, ability to read blueprints/schematics, and have experience with a variety of tools.
