A successful Reporting Analyst will have the following:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common metrics used to measure and monitor operational performance, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide clear and concise communication with a wide audience of internal departments
  • An appreciation of data visualization and the best practices to utilize them to make optimal business decisions
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics, and 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL a plus
  • 2+ years of experience with Tableau a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

This position will work in Operations as a Reporting Analyst responsible for building dashboards to be used both internal and external of the department to support the various business units in knowing their business and making good long-term business decisions. This position will also be responsible for building a data architecture which will enable the team to design and build reports as well as prepare ad-hoc analysis in an efficient manner. Additionally, this role will be involved in preparing and delivering in-depth analysis of various topics with the intent of providing useful, actionable information to executive leadership.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Build dashboards to help department analysts keep a pulse on their business and alert them to violations of trends
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and fully understand processes and their impact on the overall business; analyze, identify, and implement potential process and systems enhancements to create efficiencies and reduce resource allocation for routine tasks, procedures, and reports; assist in the completion of projects and use discretion to determine the methods to meet established goals
  • Create ad-hoc reports as requested in a timely and accurate manner to provide actionable date to senior level manager and above both internal and external to the department
