A successful Graphic Designer will have the following attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years minimum experience working in a lead Graphic Design role; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite and Mac OS. Able to navigate through Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Acrobat.
  • Ability to support multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to work within a fast-paced environment where priorities are constantly changing.
  • Confident in knowledge of industry standard practices.
  • Copy writing experience a plus.
  • Video editing/software experience a plus.

The existing customer marketing department (Customer Retention) has an immediate opening for an experienced Contract-To-Hire Graphic Designer. This group is the internal advocate for our customers in everything DISH does. The Graphic Designer will be the sole graphic artist to handle the artwork from concept to delivery. This will be the sole designer on projects that will vary from large to small. This is a fast-paced environment. Deliverables range from print, web, mobile, commercial, video, and large format.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Ability to organically create layout/typography, apply color theory, achieve hierarchy, and balance in all design pieces.
  • Complete updates (copy edits, resize, repurpose, version) to artwork across multiple projects and campaigns while keeping files archived and organized.
  • Turn around projects and edits quickly, often same-day.
  • Ability to follow a Style Guide and maintain brand consistency throughout all projects.
  • Have a customer-based mindset and the ability to think of the customer experience in how they will interact with the design work created.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new tools, and latest design trends.
  • Assist with marketing presentations and various projects.
  • Flexibility in taking direction, receiving critiques, and redirection.
