The successful Java Engineer will have:

  • BS or MS Degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline or other STEM - Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related degree from a four year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1 year of Java development experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge, understanding and hands-on experience with Web services
  • Working knowledge of development frameworks such as Spring, Linux, MySQL, Oracle or PostgreSQL
  • Working knowledge of an ORM technology such as Hibernate
  • Working knowledge of Web/application servers such as Tomcat
  • Experience in using Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as Eclipse or NetBeans
  • Working knowledge of source control tools such as Git, ANT or Maven

  • Develop, integrate and maintain new and existing Java applications.
  • Work in dynamic development environment and will be responsible for delivering reliable software components.
  • Participate in design, implementation, testing and documentation phases.
  • Build services that integrate with multiple backend systems.
