RF Hardware Technician III - Full-time

A successful RF Hardware Technician III will have the following:

• HS Diploma or GED; and  5  years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5 years experience in testing/qualifying electronic parts
• 5 years experience reading and interpreting electronic circuit schematics
• 5 years experience in the operation of digital multi-meters, digital oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other types of electronic test and RF measurement equipment
• 5 years experience board assembly/ rework soldering
• 5 years experience in Labview test automation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of basic AC / DC electronics, and basic digital / microprocessor electronics circuits
• Working knowledge of RF terminology, measurement methods, and associated test equipment
• Must have knowledge of Labview test automation
• Ability to solder small surface mount components desirable
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Outlook a plus

Dish Technologies, in Englewood, CO, is hiring a RF Hardware Technician III who has a strong interest in testing RF circuits, components and assemblies to qualify for use in consumer-grade electronics products.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

• Performing detailed qualification testing of RF components, circuits, and assemblies to verify proper operation within Dish Technologies circuit design specifications. 
• Testing of complete RF assemblies for OEM supplied designs
• Extensive use of bench test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, noise figure meters, scalar analyzers, modulation analyzers, and signal generators including Labview test automation software
• Design and assemble simple test fixtures and circuits as required
• Assembling and writing of data into test reports for engineer review

• Set-up, operation, and testing of consumer grade satellite receiver systems
• Reading and interpreting electronic circuit schematics, RF specifications and applications to test setups and automation
• Basic troubleshooting and failure analysis of satellite receivers and associated systems
• Assembly of various small printed circuit boards (surface mount components), cabling, and simple test fixtures
