This position is responsible for focusing on NA Consumer and Aerospace Packaging, while supporting the Global Packaging Organizations goals and objectives. The person selected for this position will work with the packaging vendors to design primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for products while focusing on cost, safety, and efficient designs. The Packaging Engineer will maintain the accuracy of Henkel's packaging specification database and work with vendors to validate each specification. There will be a strong focus on cost out, standardization of packaging and packaging equipment, and alignment with the Global Packaging Organization’s deliverables.

Qualification:

Who we are looking for

Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or other appropriate degree0-3 years’ experience in consumer packaging environmentCompetent in Project Management, possessing the ability of starting a project and seeing it through to completionStrong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills (oral and written)Lean Manufacturing experience preferredFrequently sit, view a computer screen, and type on a keyboard for extended periods of timesVerbally communicate one-on-one and in front of groupsAbility to walk up and down several flights of stairsOccasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbsAbility to travel on occasion
