Summary:
This role is responsible for leading Communications Planning in the US for The Hershey Company’s portfolio of iconic brands including Hershey’s, Reese’s, Kit Kat, Ice Breakers and Twizzlers among many others. Hershey is elevating the importance of Comms Planning in our approach to marketing to develop data-driven connections strategies that guide how big creative ideas get executed within an integrated cross-channel media plan. Thus, the role sits at the intersection of the creative big idea and the cross-channel media plan that gets executed across paid, owned and earned channels. The ideal candidate will have a passion to apply their expertise to our portfolio of iconic brands and accelerate this capability at Hershey among our brand marketers in close partnership with our media and creative agencies. The role reports to the Sr. Director, Media and Comms Planning.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Comms Planning Process across the entire Hershey portfolio including development of connection strategies, unearthing consumer barriers and devising strategies that help creative ideas get amplified in media to achieve brand objectives.
- Partnering with Consumer Insights on Consumer Decision Journey analysis to determine the optimal ways to connect with consumers
- Evaluation and development of both syndicated and proprietary data tools to be used in the comms planning process
- Build the Comms Planning capabilities within the Hershey Brand organization in partnership with both media and creative agencies
- Ensure there are measurable KPI’s for each brand helping enhance Comms effectiveness
Qualifications:
- 5 plus years Comms Planning experience, ideally at a Media Agency
- Experience implementing and executing a comms planning process within an awareness-driven advertiser such as a CPG
- Strong Leadership and Collaboration skills working effectively with both creative and media agencies to ensure ideas are fully amplified across all channels
- Passion to maintain an expertise in comms planning staying on the cutting edge of the discipline
