Office Support Clerk - Data Entry

POSITION PROFILE

Hours for this position will be 9am-6pm, Monday through Friday.

The Insurance Specialist reviews retail accounts for additional warranty products such as Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP), or Aftermarket Protection (AMP). When these products are identified, a claim is opened through a vendor to process a claim for GAP, or request a refund of the unused premium for AMP products. A Maturity Bill is a final lease account statement for a customer. This statement includes any outstanding balances, any lease end charges, and any credits/refunds the customer is due. The Insurance Specialist works accounts in this queue, and generates the maturity bill. This position reports directly to the Site Manager.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initiate a GAP (Guaranteed Auto Protection) or AMP (Aftermarket Protection) claim -- via SR (service request) with the vendor
• Perform Daily Correspondence with Vendor - Once a claim has been initiated with the vendor, the vendor works with the Customer, Insurance Company, and Dealer, along with the GAP and AMP policy carrier through completion. For status updates and verification, a spreadsheet is shared between the Insurance Specialist and the vendor daily
• Perform various daily and monthly reporting including payment receipt and verification of checks
• On a monthly basis, responsible for reviewing all pending GAP and AMP claims to ensure active work is being completed and all accounts are escalated as deemed necessary
• Responsible for closing GAP (Guaranteed Auto Protection) or AMP (Aftermarket Protection) claims and verifying all funds received and closing open Service Requests
• Responsible for reviewing and processing final lease account statements for customers containing multiple account and termination types
• Works within customer proprietary systems to create statements and process SR's (service requests) including fund verification, adjustments if required, and requests for fees to be added or waived
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Typically Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Some experience in auto insurance claim processing preferred
• Demonstrated competency and proficiency in Outlook, Excel and Word
